The letters motivation - I agree. The stabbing sub-plot - again, undercooked. And as a result, Janet, I'd say it's not one of the best Creek episodes by a long way. But the best were fantastic and I did find a great deal to enjoy. As for my own books - thanks, and I live in hope if not optimism!Martin Edwardshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16082485795280777670noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7291823984059320518.post-72794412146903143012014-03-01T11:29:51.573+00:002014-03-01T11:29:51.573+00:00Did you really think it was good though? I wonder why they brought it back when there are so many excellent novels out there (yours included) which would make good adaptations. It creaks! janethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01026599079423559143noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7291823984059320518.post-22156666897711270702014-03-01T11:10:01.597+00:002014-03-01T11:10:01.597+00:00I thoroughly enjoyed it, and like the fact that,m ...I thoroughly enjoyed it, and like the fact that,m as you say, Renwick has not ignored the passage of time but embraced it. I should say though that i was left oddly hanging (pun intended) by the ending as I thought there would be slightly more to the stalking/stabbing subplot - I keep wondering if this will be explored in a later episode - not very likely, I know, but it felt like it was being set up as an additional small puzzle ...Sergio (Tipping My Fedora)http://bloodymurder.wordpress.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7291823984059320518.post-23189438507097312242014-03-01T06:43:47.581+00:002014-03-01T06:43:47.581+00:00I enjoyed Jonathan Creek last night too, even thou...I enjoyed Jonathan Creek last night too, even though I thought the reasoning behind the letters was absolute piffle. But it was, as you say, joy, and very amusing too. I liked the word games very much.Margaret @ BooksPleasehttp://www.booksplease.orgnoreply@blogger.com
