Corpse has a fine, dreary, "realistic" setting (with a map!), coupled with Bull and his wife, who are a great pair. He should have done a fuller series with them. The Passing Tramphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09830680639601570152noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7291823984059320518.post-1590562064386971842011-07-26T21:59:15.928+01:002011-07-26T21:59:15.928+01:00Where does Adrian comment on the book, Curt?

I can't say I see M.K. as my favorite "forgotten writer," but he deserves note for his experimenting and is certainly of historical interest. The Passing Tramphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09830680639601570152noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7291823984059320518.post-71741834247036236782011-07-24T19:25:53.028+01:002011-07-24T19:25:53.028+01:00Curt, I did think this was a very interesting book...Curt, I did think this was a very interesting book and I know John Curran admires it a lot.
I haven't yet read the other two MKs, but soon will do, I hope!Martin Edwardshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16082485795280777670noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7291823984059320518.post-13959224671433642982011-07-22T02:10:10.565+01:002011-07-22T02:10:10.565+01:00It took me years to find this book and then I have...It took me years to find this book and then I have to admit I was disappointed, given its reputation. The preface was interesting though. I love how Cox and Kennedy found it necessary to assign weighty prefatory statements to so many books. A bit self-important, perhaps, but certainly interesting.

Have you read The Murderer of Sleep or Corpse in Cold Storage yet?The Passing Tramphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09830680639601570152noreply@blogger.com
