Christmas has been coming for quite a long time as far as I'm concerned, given that Miss Winter in the Library with a Knife is set at Christmas and was published more than three months. At the time of writing, it's been an Amazon #1 bestseller for over four weeks, and was just described in a review in the Sunday Post as 'brilliant'. It has been the most commercially successful of all the books, fact and fiction, that I've ever written, something I'd never have imagined when I was trying to figure out the plot strands eighteen months ago. For that, I'm truly grateful.
And I'm extremely grateful to all those of you who have read this blog and especially those who have got in touch via comments or email. It's always great to hear from you. A few days ago, the blog passed the seven million pageview milestone, and although I've no doubt that figure includes quite a few AI sweeps, it's also evident from the messages I receive that the blog is read by an increasing number of real people, and you are of course the ones I care about and write for.
So I'd like to wish you all the compliments of the season. Have a lovely time, and the blog will swing back into action on Boxing Day with another forgotten book!
